Reckless Disregard Of Children In Madison County Indiana

The Department of Child Services in Madison County, Indaina has been reckless when it comes to protecting the communities most vulnerable children. Prosecting Attorney of Madison County Rodney Cummings agrees stating in an interview with WTHR 13 News, “The people who are supposed to be protecting our children are not living up to that responsibility,”

There have been years of expert reports, years of promised reforms, minimal and intermittent movement forward, but the fundamental problems in this system do not change. Children are being harmed and even face death, by the lack of appropriate placements, by erratic practices of DCS and by the lack of a fundamental focus on the well-being of children.
