The Godmother of Pop, who’s second only to Aretha Franklin as most charted female vocalist of all time, shares the secret of her longevity. “I guess it’s because I’m so true to who I am. And most of the people who’ve been supportive of my 50-year career, I think they appreciate that I’ve never sold out,” Dionne Warwick tells Callywood host Cassandra Calloway. “So when I do have product on the market, I hope it will appeal not only to those who have been with me this long, but that they’re introducing it to new ears. I never lose track of the idea that they deserve to hear great songs,” adds the diva, whose hits range from 1964’s Walk on By to 1985’s That’s What Friends Are For. “I never lose track of my mantra, which is, If you can think it, you can do it.”
