Content costs money to produce and distribute. The Internet has created a mythical land of content for free. The economy is down so advertising dollars that would pay content production and distribution companies are shrinking. The default business model for most digital media companies is in peril. So now what do we do?

Tom Patterson is the CEO of Digital Containers. Tom is an accomplished venture-backed founder and CEO, bringing The Carlyle Group backed Internet services company Command Information from zero to over $50 million in profitable revenue in less than three years. Prior to founding Command, Tom led Deloitte’s security practice in Europe and the middle east as an international partner, founded and led KPMG’s eCommerce transactions practice as partner and managing director, and was IBM’s first chief eCommerce strategist. He will talk to us about what business models for digital media work in today's economic environment.
