This is going to be a packed program! I have the pleasure of speaking to two people I admire here in the Siberian world, not just as mushers, but in the show ring, as breeders, and folks that put their dogs FIRST.  Natalie and Andre wan der Merwe are transplants from South Africa to the United States in pursuit of their passion, Siberian Huskies in all their glory. No matter what you do with your own Nordic breed, working dog or pet, they will have something to offer everyone.

With that in mind, I have chosen Natalie and Andre to talk with us about what I consider "doing it right" through their nutritional program, their careful and selective breeding, their "dogs first" atitude in all of their interactions with these magnificent creatures, and of course putting their Siberians to work.

For starters, this year at the World Dryland Championships in Bristol, Andre was awarded a bronze for this team's efforts in the sprint, and he is going to talk to us about his training not only these go-fast athletes, but training teams for the mid and distance races and tours as well. And Natalie has been my go-to confidant on nutrition and hydration, whether we feed raw, partial raw or kibble. She will answer questions on all things nutrition for us, including keeping the comapnion pets healthy well into their senior years. Natalie and Andre will touch on CTC Dog Gear and using different harnesses depending on your dog, their needs and your goals.

Along with stories from the trail, Natalie and Andre will talk about the future of the sport, getting out there with your dogs no matter what your goals might be, and a peek behind the scenes on their current litter and the future of Snowdrift Siberians, as well as the future of Siberians in the show ring.

These two have so much to share with us, and a little something for everyone who loves their dogs.
