It has been my experience that many homeowners facing foreclosure don’t know what to expect when considering a short sale of their home. For many homeowners short sales are mysterious real estate transactions that are clouded by over burdensome paperwork, a lack of personal knowledge on the process and finally, inapt real estate agents who don’t have a clue. I have spent countless hours cleaning up the mistakes of other so called “Short Sale Professionals”. I am under no illusions as to why so many homeowners are confused or even mislead. In an effort to shed some light on this type of real estate transaction, I want to share with you some short sale basics. Most all homeowners should expect these basic steps to be completed by their real estate agent and their bank when considering a short sale.
