Nefetari Spencer is a lover not a fighter and proud to be Co-Creator, Producer and Director of EDF3. Hailing from Chicago and an only child, Nef has always been one with a vivid imagination. After receiving her Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in Film and Art History from the Savannah College of Art and Design in Savannah, Georgia, Nef moved back to Chicago to pursue a career behind the scenes. Within a year she became one of the youngest Assistant Directors doing live broadcast television shows in Chicago.

Nef works mostly in television and film, however she couldn’t turn down the opportunity to perform a scene from “The Colored Museum” with Loretta Divine and Vicki Lynn Reynolds in a star studded tribute for the legendary Ruby Dee. Other recent credits include several national commercials, “The Hard Times of RJ Berger”, “The Young and the Restless”, “Rules of Engagement” and her first starring lead role in the soon to be released film, “The Company We Keep”. TCWK has been getting rave reviews in film fests across the country. It is the 2011 winner of the Best Feature award from the Atlanta Urban Film Festival, was selected as one of the Big 8 in the San Diego Black Film Fest, and recently screened here in Los Angeles at the Pan African Film Festival.
