Jennifer Cooper - Once a Diva, ALWAYS a Diva!

Vocalist, Jennifer Cooper, sustained a successful, professional opera career for several years.  Reviewers raved about her thirty-plus principle roles and various concert appearances throughout Europe, Canada and the U.S.  Most noted were her energetic, sensitive,  technically stunning and artistically powerful portrayals of Cenerentola in La Cenerentola, Rosina in Il barbiere di Siviligia, Cherubino in Le Nozze di Figaro, Hansel in Hansel und Gretel, and Nicklausse in Les contes d’Hoffmann, among others.  Following an unexpected hiatus from performing due to a medical setback, Cooper eventually re-entered the stage as a jazz, blues and pop songstress and currently performs with her ensemble, GrooveSpan, which was recently nominated as Best Cover Band in her region by The Phoenix Internet Radio Station.  She recently shined as a featured guest soloist at the renowned annual River Concert Series in St. Mary’s City, MD with the Chesapeake Orchestra under the direction of Maestro Jeffrey Silberschlag, and with the Rappahannock Pops Orchestra in Fredericksburg, VA under the baton of her former music director and mentor, Maestro Kirk Wilke.  Earlier this year, Cooper performed the National Anthem for a special event honoring Female Veterans of War and commemorating the bicentennial anniversary of the War of 1812 at the Maryland House of Delegates in Annapolis, then again for special Naturalization Ceremonies in both Washington, DC and New York City, in conjunction with the Citizenship Counts organization.  Cooper remains in high demand for various venues, music festivals, concert series, and private events while continuing to serve as a highly respected private voice instructor in the southern Maryland region.  For more information about Ms. Cooper, please visit www.go-diva.webs.com.
