What is the definition of WORK?

Strong’s Concordance defines the word work as: diligence, diligently labor, implying unusual exertion of energy.

  1. WHY is work; or to diligently labor, one of the key factors relative to achieving success?

Genesis 2:1-3(NKJV)

  1. Thus the heavens and the earth, and all the host of them were finished.

2 And on the seventh day God ended His work which He had done, and He rested on the seventh day from all His work which He had done.

3 Then God blessed the seventh day and sanctified it, because in it He rested from all His work which God had created and made.

God is very clear in this scripture about work. He wants us to work because it is part of his divine plan to bless and prosper each of us. He has given you gifts, and He has established a mandate concerning work, when He himself worked to create the earth in which we live in just six days.  Can you image how much energy was used by God to create an entire world in six (6) days? This was why He needed to rest on the seventh.
