Thomas Meloncon is the playwright of the award winning play, Diary of Black Men which is the longest running touring play in the history of black theatre. Eventhough this production was clearly set apart in terms of substance from other "urban" plays, it clearly is the pioneer of what is now called Urban Theatre, setting the stage for the likes of Shelly Garrett, David E.
