Women may not have achieved financial equality but they are more financially successful. There are over 10 million female-owned businesses in America, generating more than $2.5 trillion in annual revenue. Even though more women are taking care of their financial health – there are far too many, leaving it to chance. There are those who avoid discussing it as if it's one of those four letter words and others who leave "money matters," to the men in their lives. A woman's financial need is different to a man and left to chance the consequences can be dire. Almost 1 in 4 women are broke within two months of a husband passing away. Over 75% of all women are eventually widowed at an average age of 56. 53% of women are not covered by a pension compared to only 22% of men. A staggering 87% of the poverty stricken elderly are women. It is never too late to change your financial future. My guest, Judith Stephens MBA, The Money Lady, is a Money Management Strategist. She is going to tell us how and why you should manage your finances. She promotes financial independence through financial literacy. Her mission is to educate people about money, wealth, prosperity and abundance. Stephens makes learning about money an enjoyable and profitable process. As your money advocate, Stephens provides you with options and choices about your money. Unlike financial advisors, she sells no financial products -- no policies, annuities, or mutual funds. Your highest good is her only goal. Through individual and group programs, Stephens works with professionals and solo practitioners who want to overcome fear and emotional dependence around money. Her company hosts Mastermind Groups and Investment Boot camps. It hosts monthly tele seminars and tele classes for its online community.
