Be a Leader Not a Savior

The old saying goes

You can Lead a horse to Water, but you cant make them drink

We often times want IT more for someone else than they want IT for themselves

So we try to save them, Do the work for them

Thinking if we can just get them going in the right direction

They will be able to keep it going

Problem is, they kind of like it when you save them, and do the work for them

They start to expect that you keep saving them and doing their work

Then they resent you and crucify you once you figure out that the only way for them to truly change

Is to let them do the Work required on their own

Just like a NFL coach can lead you, give you the Playboo, and tell you how to execute

Once, you step on the field, it is up to you to execute, and perform
