This week Laurie Beth catches up with Path Leader Sherry McKillop.

Founder and Principal of Follow Your Compass, Sherry’s broad range of business and entrepreneurial experience spans twenty-five years. During that time she became keenly aware of one issue that was universal in the workplace. How do you overcome the frustration, conflict, and misunderstandings that occur when you have a group of diverse personalities, often with different performance objectives, and ask them to work together effectively?

She set out on a course to gain understanding and provide solutions to that question. She is committed to delivering powerful concepts through proven training and coaching methodologies. The goal is to assist leaders in transforming their teams and executing organizational performance objectives with excellence.  Sherry was recently honored by the Association of Leadership Professionals (formerly the Association of Community Leadership) to receive the Preceptor award for her outstanding communication skills, creativity, trusteeship, ethics, mentoring, and dedication to the concept of strengthening and transforming communities.

She received her coach training from the Path Leadership Institute and is in the process of obtaining her PCC credential as a member of the International Coach Federation. She has completed specialized training and certification in team coaching through Team Coaching International. Sherry enjoyed nine years of coaching and training experience in the telecom industry before founding Follow Your Compass. She continues to educate herself in current "technologies" in team and leadership development to better serve her clients.
