There is Life After Abuse!!!

Josie grew up in a fundamentalist Christian group and home, and attended a strict, cult-like "Bible College." Having questions about her faith and seeking truth wherever it led, she was put under "house arrest" for wishing she could belong to another Christian denomination. She had a horrible experience with one of the church pastors she was brought to talk to. Finally, her parents finally gave her an ultimatum-- either stay in their faith or move out. At 20 years-old, Josie left. Young and naive, and having been raised in a sheltered environment, she fell into horrendous mental, emotional, physical, and sexual abuse at the hands of a "friend" she thought she could trust. She felt helpless and alone, conditioned to believe it was all her fault.

Now, just over a decade later, her life is radically different! Josie is a freelance photographer and is planning on pursuing a Master of Arts degree in Teaching program, beginning this Fall. She and her husband currently live in the Middle East. They enjoy frequent travel all around the world.  

Josie's message to you is that there IS life after abuse. You CAN break free. Life CAN be beautiful, fulfilling, and incredibly awesome! And, YOU are worth it!
