The 1980s were wild years. The heavyweights were memorable, but way down at junior welterweight, Roberto Medina was making waves in Florida.

By 1985, Medina had racked up a record of 12-1-1 before being scheduled to face Olympic gold medalist Meldrick Taylor on ABC's "Wide World of Sports." Medina not only lost, but immediately after the fight, Medina's past caught up with him. And his troubles weren't over.
