Ep 47 – Actor, Writer and Creator of THE BRIGHT SESSIONS, LAUREN SHIPPEN

In episode 47 of Kneel Before Aud, Audrey Kearns sat down and chatted with Lauren Shippen at Emerald City Comic Con. Shippen is the creative force behind the award-winning, mega-hit podcast The Bright Sessions. The audio fiction podcast with a paranormal flare boasts over a million downloads and has earned a spot on many 'Top Podcasts of 2016' lists from outlets such as iTunes, Wired, Indie Wire and Popular Science. 

The Bright Sessions is a science fiction podcast that follows a group of therapy patients. But these are not your typical patients - each has a unique supernatural ability. The show documents their struggles and discoveries as well as the motivations of their mysterious therapist, Dr. Bright. 

We talk quite a bit about how The Bright Sessions came to life, how the characters have grown and how the story arc has maintained a strong level of excitement and mystery for listeners. What I enjoyed most was the conversation that spawned from talking about The Bright Sessions, a conversation about the creative process and how it's unique to every artist. It's an inspiring episode!
