The awareness of Post Traumatic Stress Disorder has become more widespread these days. Perhaps it's because those that suffer from this vicious mental health assault are no longer restricted to soldiers returning from war. PTSD is a wicked monster that creeps up on its victims and mimics other symptoms, hence creating a hiding space for itself that goes undiagnosed in time. The damage it inflicts on its victims does not stay contained with the victims, the rage and pain is manifested in acts against others as well. More than ever, stories about tragic incidents fueled by PTSD are emerging although the awareness has increased. Is PTSD being underdaignosed?
