Mary Hardy, MD on Dietary Supplements & Cancer Care

On the Wednesday, August 14th 2013 broadcast at 2PM Pacific/5PM Eastern our special guest is Mary Hardy, MD. Our conversation will focus on integrative medicine, wellness and the nexxus with traditional western medicine.

Dr. Hardy who is board cer­ti­fied in inter­nal med­i­cine and a spe­cial­ist in botan­i­cal and inte­gra­tive med­i­cine, has actively com­bined com­ple­men­tary and alter­na­tive ther­a­pies with tra­di­tional West­ern med­i­cine for many years. Dr. Hardy com­pleted her inter­nal med­i­cine res­i­dency at Tufts New Eng­land Med­ical Cen­ter before study­ing med­ical ethics at Har­vard Divin­ity School and Loma Linda Uni­ver­sity. Dr. Hardy was recruited by Cedars-Sinai Med­ical Cen­ter, where she founded & served as med­ical direc­tor of a multi-disciplinary Inte­gra­tive Med­i­cine Pro­gram.

Con­tribut­ing to the national devel­op­ment of inte­gra­tive med­i­cine, Dr. Hardy serves as Cochair­per­son of the Clin­i­cal Prac­tice Com­mit­tee of the Aca­d­e­mic Con­sor­tium of Inte­gra­tive Med­i­cine, & is rec­og­nized as an author­ity on inte­gra­tive med­i­cine & nat­ural prod­ucts by orga­ni­za­tions such as the Office of Dietary Sup­ple­ments, the Cal­i­for­nia Med­ical Board, the Amer­i­can Med­ical Asso­ci­a­tion, the Amer­i­can Phar­ma­ceu­ti­cal Asso­ci­a­tion, the RAND Cor­po­ra­tion, CBS, NBC, Dis­cov­ery Chan­nel & LA Times.
