Hoboken Officers Settle Racial Harassment Lawsuit.

Five Hoboken New Jersey police officers had filed a lawsuit in Federal Court alleging racial harassment and a hostile work environment.  The five Hispanic officers allege the SWAT team commander used the “n-word” and put a napkin over his face to imitate a Ku Klux Klan member.  According to published reports, this particular commander was also the subject of other allegations of misconduct.

The five (plaintiffs) officers are Sergeant Edwin Pantoja, Detective Cesar Olivaria, Detective James Perez, Detective George Fonseca and Detective Mario Novo.  On Thursday August 25, 2011, are invited guest will be Detective Mario Novo and the other Hoboken Police Officers involved in this lawsuit.
