Welcome back to Journal Jabber.  I am refreshed and excited to be back after our 4th of July break.  And we are coming back in a very sweet fashion.  Tonight, we have Debbie Dadey on the show.  She is the author of over 150 children's books to date, with many more on the horizon.

Tonight we will be talking about her Mermaid Tales series along with a whole lot of other things.  If you have a young one who loves to read, or a reluctant reader, be sure to be listening in with your child as well!

About the author:

DEBBIE DADEY taught first grade before becoming a librarian. It was while teaching that she first realized how much she wanted to write a book for reluctant readers. Her first book, Vampires Don't Wear Polka Dots with fellow teacher Marcia Thornton Jones, was the result of a very bad day. Since then, Debbie and Marcia have collaborated on more than 125 books with sales of over forty-seven million copies. Debbie now has sold 154 books and is enjoying writing Mermaid Tales from Simon and Schuster. Debbie lives in Bucks County, Pennsylvania with her husband, three dogs, and three children. She hopes you'll like her on Facebook.com/debbiedadey or visit www.debbiedadey.com.
