"The truth of the Bible": the treasure map and the idol

The author of Revelation warns readers to be wary of changes that could possibly be made to it. Did he had a different faith on the immutability of the Bible than that which today's institutional Christianity preaches? Let's talk about it.

For I testify unto every one that heareth the words of the prophecy of this book, that if any man shall add unto them, God will cause the plagues that are written in this book to come upon him;
And if any man take away any words out of the book of this prophecy, God shall take away his portion from the book of life, and from the holy city, and from the things which are written in this book.
Revelation 22: 18,19

O autor do do livro de Apocalipse adverte os leitores a para que estivessem precavidos contra possíveis alterações que poderiam eventualmente ser feitas ao mesmo. Será que ele tinha uma fé sobre a imutabilidade da Bíblia diferente daquela que o criastianismo institucional dos nossos dias apregoa? Vamos falar sobre isso

Porque eu testifico a todo aquele que ouvir as palavras da profecia deste livro que, se alguém lhes acrescentar alguma coisa, Deus fará vir sobre ele as pragas que estão escritas neste livro;
E, se alguém tirar quaisquer palavras do livro desta profecia, Deus tirará a sua parte do livro da vida, e da cidade santa, e das coisas que estão escritas neste livro.
