Marv Nelson: Pastor, Writer, Teacher, Motivator

My name is Marv Nelson. My wife and I have been happily married for a little over 14 years. We have three wonderful children, MJ (11), Amelia (8) and Liam (4). I graduated from Nyack College with a dual degree (Youth Min and Pastoral Min) in 2007, graduated from Crown College with my masters in Intercultural Leadership in 2013. I've been licensed in the C&MA for 14 years and have been ordained within the C&MA for 10. I am now taking courses to lead me into my D.Min. program but will also get a second master's degree along the way. I am currently the Lead Pastor at Indiana Alliance Church in Indiana, PA. I teach online courses at Toccoa Falls and at Crown College. My most recent position before Indiana, PA was as a campus church plant pastor for the University of Pittsburgh, where I planted a college church. Finally, I am also an author and have written What Good is Jesus? (2016) As well as Unleash: Empowering the Next Generation of Leaders, which came out Sept. 2018. Pastor Marv joins John today to talk about the state of the church and ministry during and after the pandemic.
