Javier Stauring is Policy Director of Faith Communities for Families and Children, a multi-racial, multi-ethnic, economically diverse coalition of faith based organizations that provide support for and advocate on behalf of children and families involved in Los Angeles County and California’s juvenile justice system. He is also Co-Director of the Office of Restorative Justice of the Archdiocese of Los Angeles, where he manages the largest Catholic detention ministry program in the nation. Javier will be discussing his work and the upcoming event, Juvenile Justice Sabbath, a call for congregations of all faiths to unite to raise awareness of the needs of the children and families impacted by crime.
