How come women have so much power?

Wherre do women gain power?  Is it the value they are to the bearing of children? Is it their contribution to raising well-adjusted children?  Is it their contribution to their husband's (partner in life) success?  What is it about women that makes them different than a man?  Are women doubly-blessed?  What blessings are bestowed upon society because women exist?  Let me count the ways women have power rather than take power from another.
