**BRIDGING THE GAP**

Omowali Heru will examine the issues in the black and brown communities and why there is such a division amongst the two cultures. We will site historical facts and delve deep into the heart of this ongoing travesty of events. With great so-called latino freedom fighters such as, Lolita Lebron, Pedro Albizu Campos, The Young Lords, The Brown Berets and the Zapitistas, Why do we now in 2010 extract them from the diaspora? How do we talk about Haiti, Africa, Jamaica and Harlem without talking about Puerto Rico, Brazil, Domincan Republic or Cuba. How do we stop the dis~ease of conquer and divide at the hands of institutionalized religions? These are serious issues that deserve a serious dialog. Have your pens and pads ready.
