Ichabod...The Glory is Leaving America

Eli’s sons were wicked. The Lord vowed to destroy them, and Eli’s household would be cursed because of their contempt for the Lord. Israel went to battle against the Philistines thinking that the Ark of the Covenant would save them. They were sadly mistaken. Ichabod arrived…the Glory of the Lord had left their land. 1 Samuel 4:21-22 She named the boy Ichabod, saying, “The Glory has departed from Israel”—because of the capture of the ark of God and the deaths of her father-in-law and her husband. She said, “The Glory has departed from Israel, for the ark of God has been captured.”  (NIV) America is making the same mistake. They have faith in leaders, churches and the military but Ichabod is arriving…the Glory of the Lord is leaving the land. May God have mercy us all.
