Sherrie Williams, LCSW, Executive Director for Georgia Partnership for Telehealth, strongly believes that telemedicine is the answer for Georgia’s healthcare shortage.  After working in the private mental health field and public school system in rural South Georgia for nearly 15 years, Ms. Williams worked to develop and implement Georgia’s first school-based health center that utilized telemedicine as a way to close the resource gaps.  Six years later, she has helped more than 77 schools in Georgia and Tennessee to open school-based health centers in both rural and urban areas.

In this podcast interview, Sherrie advises us on what it takes to bring a school-based telehealth center to local schools now, and what opportunities might be available to school children through telehealthtomorrow.
