Heart Of Iowa: Keeping Families Together Durring Substance Abuse Treament

 Iowa Family Preservation Project Talk Radio 7-9pm 

Tonight we will be talking about the Area Substance Abuse Council's Heart of Iowa Program and the need for more Iowa programs that keep families together & kids out of foster care. Iowa DHS currently spends most of the $ it gets to separate families rather than investing in family preservation. The current system is causing children & parents to develop attachment-trauma pathology. 

Heart of Iowa is a unique program for women with children so they can stay together. It houses them while the mothers participate in a 90 day treatment program
