After being found as an infant crawling among old and dusty books in an abandoned library, Kimberly Richardson grew up to be an eccentric woman with a taste for listening to dark cabaret music while drinking tea, reading books in every genre, and writing stories that cause people to make the strangest faces. Her first book, Tales From a Goth Librarian, was published through Kerlak Publishing in March 2009 and was named a finalist in the USA Book News Awards for Fiction: Short Story for 2009. Tales is also nominated for the regional sci-fi and fantasy literary Darrell Award. Kimberly is also a member of the Horror Writers Association, in following the footsteps of her publisher/fellow author/friend Allan Gilbreath. She is also the Editor for the upcoming Steampunk anthology to be published through Kerlak Publishing. Her family, albeit normal, loves her as much as she loves them. She currently resides in Memphis, Tennessee. Take a disturbing, yet fascinating walk through this collection of short stories and poetry expressing the darker side of the Gothic/Steampunk point of view as written by a Goth librarian. Kimberly Richardson guides you through modern situations and intrigues from a darkly gothic point of view. Her characters will take you back to the Victorian mindset as they deal with desperation, obsession, and despair. In this anthology, Kimberly embraces the Gothic/Steampunk style and adds her unique voice to the genre.
