The Third Person of the Godhead (The Holy Spirit)

But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsurrering, gentleness, goodness, faith, meekness, temperance: against such there is no law.  And they that are Christ's have crucified the flesh with the affections and lusts.  If we live in the Spirit, let us also walk in the Spirit.  Galatians 5:22-25.

The character of the fruit is evidence of the character of teh power that produces it.  The work of the Holy Spirit in the beiever is to make fruitful. When the Holy Spirit is in absolute control, we become fruit bearing. In order to accomplish this we must give over complete control to the Holy Spirit. We must allow Him to manifest Himself in and through us. the fruit of the Holy Spirit cannot be born in anyone who refuses to submit totally to Him and to be led by the Spirit. Remember Jesus is the vine and we are the branches. The purpose of the brnches is to bear the fruit. On our own we cannot produce the fruit of the Spirit. It takes of the Holy Ghost. Jesus said, I am the vine, and ye are the branches: He that abideth in Me, and I in him the same bringeth frth much fruit: for without Me you can do nothing.. Fruit bearing is contingent upon commumion and fellowship with the Lord. This communion must be unbroken.  The word of God makes fruitful.
