Photobucket Unless you're old enough to remember WWII, you've probably never heard of the CPTP. The "Civilian Pilot Training Program" was begun in 1939, when the involvement of the US in the war seemed inevitable, and the need for a corps of trained pilots was evident. "They Flew Proud" is the story of the CTCP and inspired by one of their instructors, Jane's dad, Gardner Birch. Please join us to hear Jane talk about the book and the events that led to her writing it.
