Country newcomer Josey Milner has released a new single "Cowgirls." It is the follow-up to her debut single "Not Pretty Enough."Thanks to the success of her breakthrough single, Milner earned a 2013 Independent Country Music Award nomination for "Promising Young Artist," as well as three International Music and Entertainment Association (IMEA) award nominations. In addition to her musical endeavors, Milner uses her singing platform to promote a cause that he dear to her heart. She is the spokesperson for the national non-profit organization, Angels and Doves, an anti-bullying charity. Her new single "Cowgirls" is upbeat and it is melodically reminiscent of Miranda Lambert's "Gunpowder and Lead." It is evident that Milner takes cues from reigning Country Music Association (CMA) "Female Vocalist of the Year" Miranda Lambert. The song was produced by Micah Burdick and co-written by Ryan Rygmer, Angelo Petraglia (who has written songs for Tim McGraw and Taylor Swift) and Hillary Lindsey, who has penned songs for such powerhouse songstresses Martina McBride and Carrie Underwood. For a 17-year old performer, Milner showcases a great deal of talent, and she deserves to be signed by a major label or an independent label with a major distribution.Josey Milner manages to stay true to her country roots on "Cowgirls" and the inclusion of traditional instruments such as fiddle and steel guitar enhance its appeal. Fans of traditional country will be pleased with this new single. It garners 4 out of 5 stars. To learn more about country songbird Josey Milner, check her out on Facebook.Read more: http://digitaljournal.com/article/361895#ixzz2mvFWnQPg
