For Raechel (And Others Like Her)

On the last show, we attempted to finally put to rest the Creation/Evolution debate. However, an unexpected phone call changed everything and reminded us all about what's really important. A young woman by the name of "Raechel" called in to discuss the issues she had with Christianity. A self-proclaimed Agnostic, her sentiments are shared by millions of people around the world I'm sure. I was planning on doing another show on a completely different subject this morning, but the truth of the matter is that her call really affected me. In fact, it shook me to my core! There's no way she could've known this (and I don't believe I mentioned it on the air), but the night before that broadcast I felt compelled to change the length of the show from being only 60 minutes to being a full 120 minutes. I had never done more than a 1 hour show before! So, in hindsight, I now know why the Holy Spirit whispered to me to do that before the show began -- it was because He knew He would be drawing her to listen and to call in! I spent the rest of the day after that last program beating myself up over whether or not I said exactly what the Lord intended for me to say to her. I also prayed that He would continue to work in her life so that she would one day finally see the truth and come to accept Jesus Christ. I know that the process toward salvation has already begun given the fact that she has tuned in and has engaged the program in a non-passive way. Anyway, I decided that as an appropriate follow-up to the way the last show ended I would attempt to address many (if not all) of the criticisms and objections she brought up during her time speaking with me. No, it won't be as in-depth as it could be (after all, we could spend an entire show answering just one of them!), but I pray it will be enough to speak to her heart (as well as to the hearts of others) and keep them on the right path to salvation since that's my concern. Today, there will be no calls. Only a heart to heart.
