Today, I thought we would take some time to discuss the heart in general, and consider its role in our faith journey. Whenever we have a major decision to make in life we'll hear people tell us over and over again to, "Just trust your heart!" Really? Is that good, sound advice? Particularly, is that advice that Christians should be giving let alone taking to heart (pun intended) themselves? Many people wonder what the Bible has to say about the heart. The word "heart" is mentioned 833 times in 765 verses in the King James Version of the Holy Bible, and it is used in various contexts. Surely, it plays an important role in expressing and living out our faith on a daily basis. However, would it surprise you to learn that Christians shouldn't trust their heart? Please join us and be a part of the conversation.
