We have talked about our friend, Al DeGregoris, more times than can be mentioned.  With good reason.  Al is a superb pianist - actually, ANYTHING that involves keys loves him :)  He's a composer, an unbelievable creator of sound - in the songwriting sense AND via building studios.  Add to that, a lawyer.  You know - another career to fall back on!  LOL!

Al has had some sweet memories regarding his musical journey (his legal one is a whole 'nother story - maybe we'll discuss that) ;)  He has been playing for a long time - his native New York knows him as one of the cornerstones of the group, Deja Blue.  While at Hofstra University, he played Classic Rock and Standards.  And was under the tutelage of Herbert A. Deutsch, the co-creator of the Moog Synthesizer.  His rich background paved the way for a true appreciation of all KINDS of music.  But he's exceptionally comfortable with Jazz.

We enjoyed visits from Al when "Times and Travels" was released in 2012 - then, "All in Good Time" two years later.  Now, "Time and a Half" is filling our ears with its flavors and textures - courtesy of TWO producers: Nils and Jeff Lorber.  Like both sides of a beautiful coin, the lightness of guitar and the impact of a second piano take a listener through a sonic path that feels like home.  Add to the mix three surreal saxophonists: Andy Snitzer, Eric Marienthal, and Steve Cole.  Are you getting the picture yet?  Is it any wonder that Al has opened for the heavy-hitting trio, "Jazz Funk Soul" and Chieli Minucci & Special EFX?  This is a Big Apple Baby, honed in street truth as well as book knowledge.  His fingers tell the story every time he plays.  THIS time, there are more stories - and Al needed his magical outlet.  Lucky for US!

Please join us at two p.m. Eastern on 11/22!
