It's always a SINCERE delight when Greg Adams pays us a visit.  We can recite his background at this point as if it was our OWN :)  Trumpeter, composer, arranger.  Founding member of the beloved Tower of Power.  Grammy and Emmy nominations. Rock, Pop, Soul, Jazz and MORE under his belt for decades - with legendary stars, both living and no longer.  14 albums with TOP, half a dozen solo projects, and three choice works with East Bay Soul.  Which leads us to this new interview!

"That's Life" from EBS took off like a proverbial rocket when it launched in 2015.  To get the most of this groovy mileage, Greg is bringing his band to the Mid-Atlantic/East Coast in a matter of 72 hours.  At Sculler's in Boston on 4/1 - headlining with Pieces of a Dream on 4/3 - and at Bethesda Blues and Jazz on 4/5.  HONEY, this part of the country will NEVER be the same!

With Greg at three p.m. Eastern TODAY, his friend and band mate, Herman Matthews!  World class drummer, born in Texas - where he played with his Uncle's Blues Trio - at age 11!  That prepped this fabulous artist to find his eventual way to Los Angeles.  And stints with Kenny Loggins, Richard Marx, and a HOST of others - including Tower of Power.  There's that strong connection with Greg :)  These two fantastic musicians have had a reputation as being on TOP of their game for a long time.  No brainer when you consider that Greg has been involved in over 600 recordings!  The wide array of genres between Greg and Herman are dazzling.  Well-versed in Jazz, Pop and Soul, especially.  And does that ever translate to the big band feel of "That's Life!"  We'll hear three tracks from it today - the music on this show will be particularly magical!

See you at TWO p.m. Eastern - our guests join us in the next hour.  We can't WAIT!
