Where does the road lead for independent artist? Of course we are all on different paths and expect various outcomes of our careers, if a career is what you pursue. If you work hard enough and decide, you want to place the fate of your calling in the hands of someone else, and then, I suggest you make that a careful choosing. There are some who recognize a talent and start talking fast telling the artist what they can do for them. Sometimes incorporating a newly appointed manager can cause you to let your guard down and miss some opportunities. Now did you get a little tired of the grind, making appointments/bookings for yourself, did you decide it more professional to have someone handle your career for you. When you made that choice, was it a friend or relative? Sometimes placing someone in charge of your destiny can work for you or against you. Who’s checking your community sites? Are you missing contacts you should have made? Who did you place at the reigns and you feel, deep inside, they dropped the ball when it came to your career? When you are on the grind, working towards your goal, which is the only thing on your mind, don’t you.. drop.. the ball, and let someone with other interest interfere with your personal objective. Stay creative, stay focused, and stay in touch with your career.
