He began writing creatively at the age of twelve, driven by the voracious reading of his earlier years. He is inspired by Classical, American, World and Science Fiction literature, Music (all kinds), Nature, Interior Design, Fashion, Cooking, Art, Travel, Ancient history, Technology, World Affairs, Hip Hop, Religion, Education, Politics, Science and the richly layered history of his hometown. The essence of many of Harry’s writings is birthed from the anthropological roots of the Southern tradition of storytelling. Today, Harry is a senior Biology major, French minor at Morehouse College and was the first featured author of the poetry magazine “Don’t Shoot the Messenger”. His work has also been featured in the Morehouse College Honor Program’s literary magazine, “Literatus” and he was a regular artist on the local Atlanta television program “Spoken Word Live”. He was also a frequent spoken word artist at many venues in the Atlanta area. Harry seeks to pioneer a way to marry artistic and scientific disciplines in American education. As an aspiring research scientist, author and poet Harry understands that the creative processes that allow artists to harness diverse emotional and technical elements in order to synthesize them into something meaningful are shared by the imaginations within the great scientific minds which have produced some of the most ingenious discoveries of our age. Ultimately, Harry hopes to craft an honest life where both social and scientific issues in the global community are addressed. www.hotwordzlyricaltheater
