Ash Wednesday, also known as the Day of Ashes, is February 22, 2023. This day is a holy day of prayer and fasting. Christians confess their sins and profess their devotion to God. Most Christians will attend a church service where a minister, pastor, priest, or other ordained clergies, will place ashes on the forehead of the worshiper in the shape of a cross. The ashes remind us that we are dust and to dust, we shall return. This ceremony means that we belong to Christ.

Genesis 3:19 (NIV) says, ”By the sweat of your brow you will eat your food until you return to the ground since from it you were taken; for dust you are and to dust, you will return.”

Join us Tuesday, February 21, at 3:30 PM, PST, as we look at the significance of Ash Wednesday, the start of the Lenten season leading up to Resurrection day.
