A pregnant teenager can be a burden to the affected family and the community. A pregnant teenager who consumes alcohol and illicit drugs puts her growing foetus in danger. Infants exposed to drugs while in the womb suffer from many ailments. Their growth and development is interfered with. Once born, there are withdrawal symptoms, others die before one month.
