Joseph Simpson is Director and Chief Engineer at The Locking Cap, responsible for all product innovation, market development and public outreach. Joseph began developing The Locking Cap his senior year of high school, after witnessing, first hand, how destructive prescription drug abuse can be. After years of perseverance and numerous trials, Joseph, now 23 years old, has finally developed a product that he believes will help combat the prescription abuse epidemic that nearly tore his own family apart—The Locking Cap, a combination lock prescription vial cap.

Joseph concurrently attends school at Sacramento State University, pursuing a Bachelors of Science in Marketing. He expects to graduate in the winter of 2012. Joseph has always been very passionate about sports, and continues to integrate them into his extracurricular schedule. He has been on golf, soccer and cross-country teams.

In addition to The Locking Cap and pursuing his undergraduate degree, Simpson also acts as VP of Marketing/Support Expert with EYE in America. This early experience not only helped fund his education, but also provided him with the necessary entrepreneurial skills he needed to embark on his next venture—The Locking Cap.

Today, Joseph lives in Sacramento, California. Joseph is very involved in such sports as golfing, waterskiing, swimming and snowboarding. In his free time, his passion for the outdoors extends to fishing, hiking and boating. Joseph also loves to travel.
