Addiction comes in a myriad number of shapes and forms. It hides behind the many names we give it.  But we know it by the face it shows to us in any relationship.  Are you in a relationship with an addicted person?

What happens in your marriage when your spouse spends the family jar-of-change on booze?  How do you react when your close friend fills your car with cigarette smoke?  At work, does your boss-figure take long lunches and return to the office with reduced brain power?  Is your roommate at college drinking every night?  What about your golf partner and his joints?Just suppose your beloved sister is addicted to heroin and every conversation between the two of you ends in an argument.

Listen as Dr. Joan comments on why your brain may be wired differently than the brain of your addicted partner, relative, or friend.  Why do some people get caught in a trap when the push/pull of instant gratification strikes.  Finally, how can we help?.

Are you stumped by relationship issues at home, at work, at school, or at play? Tune in to hear Dr. Joan describe her opinions for alternative solutions. Follow along as she presents keys for harmony.

A portion of each program is devoted to the reading of Dr. Joan's published stories about human disputes.  She is currently reading from her first novel Gra Im Thu! I Love You!  The story is about two Irish families who find themselves intermarrying, even though they are poles apart in the areas of religion and politics.  Tune in and listen to the story, as the O'Gradys and Gwynns learn to solve their potato encounters and develop a method for turning them into delicious mashed potatoes.  Find out how diversity and harmony can live in the same house.
