Host Simone Perry talks with N.Y. State Governor David Paterson and George Soros about the $170 million Back To School grant they announced this week. Soros, who is chairman of the Open Society Institute, personally kicked $35 million into the program to help low-income families across New York State purchase clothing and supplies for the new academic year. “I hope that some of the kids who got the money will prosper,” Mr. Soros tells us. “When they grow up, maybe they can do the same thing.”
