As performing artists, we have a habit of collecting. We have to keep costumes, scores, sheet music, insturments. Spring is here and it is a great time to start de-cluttering and regaining control of your life as a creative artist.

Here are a few tips that will help keep you clutter free this year!

1) PLAN - Start planing in January about what you want to clear out and de-clutter.

2)What goes in has to come out: When you buy somthing. Remember to remove the same number of items. Buy five things, donate five things.

3)Materials: As you write your goal list, what are some of the things you need to accomplish your goal?

4)Have pick ups on stand by: I have two organizations that I donate to throughout the year. I arrange pickups every 2 months so it helps to know that as I am decluttering, some of my favorite gently used or new items in many cases are finding a new home.

5)Spend time cleaning every day to keep your space tidy. It is amazing what 10 minutes will do each day when it comes to keeping your home tidy and always ready for guests.
