Meet and hear Larry Thompson’s story. He was born in Alameda, California, a small city next to Oakland. His family moved to Sobrante Park in Oakland in 1954. As a 1965, sixteen-year-old, he was infatuated by the Soul Boogaloo Dance. So much, so that Larry (The Pirate) formed his own dance group with his friends by 1966. They called themselves Pirate and the Easy Walkers. Fresh off his recent honeymoon, marrying Rene Blackmon (A Red Hatter from one of our previous shows) he will be here to tell his story.

He was voted the best dancer at Castlemont High School in 1969 and became the school mascot. He’s got a great story from then and now about staying true to your beliefs and carrying on traditions up through today.

We will also air the final part of our interview with Author and BTR Host, Zurriane Bennett. He will have insights on how to start your own the Blog Talk Radio. I will also provide tips in my Last Word Segment on doing the same. We will also have a few kicking musical cuts for your enjoyment and other surprises. So…stop on by
