On this episode of the GSMC Baseball Podcast host Tom Dougherty recaps the games from the weekend, talks Wild Card race for both leagues. The NL has 8 teams fighting for two spots in the Wild Card race. In the AL the Mariners hold a 3 game lead over the A's for the second wild card spot. Currently the Yankees are in the first position as they are 5 games behind the Red Sox in the AL East. The National League is where it will get the most interesting. The Brewers and DBacks are barely holding on to those top two spots with 6 other teams with in 5.5 games of them. This makes for a great stretch run as we will see over the next week who will be making moves to improve their chances for October.
