The purpose of the letter was to encourage the Hebrews who accepted Jesus as the Messiah and extol them who weaved in the faith to ‘’hold fast’’ in belief Jesus is the Messiah and become strong in thought and not backslide.

On the Cross of Calvary, there was A pouring of new wine and a pouring out the old wine from the old wineskins to pouring the new wine into new wineskins God moved also the needle on the scales justice from Law to Grace...

The Son is Superior

Also the epistle was to confirm that Judaism had come to an end through the fulfillment by Christ’s death which was an act of purification for sins which was the whole purpose of the law to purge sins ; and, bring to the attention of Christians everywhere the pre-eminence of Jesus Christ.
