Hello everybody this is the Grover Weaver Ministries.org Blogtalk Radio Show Broadcast on the International Sunday School Lesson founded in the Old Testament the book of Zephaniah 3:1-8.

I am Grover Weaver your minister and Sunday School teacher Welcome to the broadcast. We continue in this three chapter book. The theme of the book is ‘’The Day of the Lord”. In street terms it’s the day the world comes to an end and Heaven begins.  

In Zephaniah time the day of the Lord refers to the impending Babylonian invasion of Judah and the destruction of Jerusalem, when the 21st century preacher/prophet speaks of the day of the Lord he is speaking of the end of the world that's ushers in the Messianic Age.

I sought Google for its definition of this Messianic Age, ‘’The Messianic Age is a theological term referring to a future time of universal peace and brotherhood on the earth, without crime, war and poverty. Many Abrahamic religions believe that there will be such an age; some refer to it as the consummate "kingdom of God", "paradise", Peaceable Kingdom, or the "world to come"...

The purpose of Zephaniah’s prophecy is shared in verses 1 - 7 of chapter 3 it gives the reason for the judgement and what the day of the Lord meant to ungodly Judah, to the world powers in the 7th century and in the 21st century, America is at the top of this ‘’filthy and polluted list worshipping the false god of humanism.
