Sunday School Commentary on Hebrew 1:1-9 for the week of 12-07-2014

God introducts the Son fully and finally. Verses 1- 4  states the Son's Sonship.  Verses 5-9 decreed the Son is superior to angels and all others.

Verse 1: In time past God has spoken many differ ways. Verse 2: Numbers 22:28, 2 Peter 2:16 but in these last days by the Son. Verse 3: The Son is...  God's Glory; his essense, and the upholder of all power and authorty Psalms 110:1.  Verse 4: Better than an angel, the son has an iherited a name (Isaiah 7:14, Matthew 22:14. Verses 5 - 7, Psalms 2:7, the Son is better than.... Verse 8, God says the Son's Throne is forever.  Verse 9 is the accolades we get from a job well done.   To be anointed with the ''oil of gladness'' by the Father is an honor for the ages.
