Life is CRAZY busy for the majority of us. Taking time to eat is a challenge let alone taking time to COOK what we eat. Something has to give and more times than not we find short cuts to fill that hole in our bellies. Even grandparents fall into this B-U-S-Y trap when it comes to food. As the western world becomes fatter and more unhealthy year after year we are finally realizing those SHORT CUTS have a heafty price tag attached to it. OUR HEALTH.
The fact is every generation is facing health consequences at an earlier age especially in the western world. And we must change this or face the consequences of poor quality and decrease in longevity of life for us, our children, and our grandchildren. Changing those "short cut" habits isn't easy though. Even if we slow down and take the time to make healthier food choices our taste buds have become accustom to the "Cheez-It" type snacks. And our grandkids usually don't know anything BUT "CHEEZ-IT" type snacks. This week The Good Health Granny is sharing ideas on how we can make homemade "CHEEZ-IT" type snacks to help our grandkids learn to like the healthier choices.
