This week’s Freethought Fridays and Variety Show features the rejection of religious beliefs and lively discussion.  Due to space limits here, please visit our official show page for more in-depth info and our guests' links.

1st Hour:  Christopher Loren, Permission To Be Human.

Christopher Loren author of Unspirituality – Permission To Be Human, reveals the delusions, betrayal and repression of not only organized religion, but spiritual and mystical beliefs.  His book is a call to stand up and be proud to be human without the spiritual story.

Loren sees an uplifting future for humankind, where "the long hardened road of religious and spiritual delusion ... [comes] to an abrupt end, like a domino effect, cascading across the globe."

2nd Hour:  Joe Zamecki and Paul Loebe, Is atheism a religion?

The Department of Justice recently argued that atheism is a religious movement.  What do the atheists say?  Is atheism a religion – or a religious movement?

One of the respected voices in atheism is Joe Zamecki, a friendly activist who has been at the frontlines of atheism causes for years. His most recent project has been Atheists Helping the Homeless, which has grown to include regular giveaways throughout Texas.

Also joining us is foxhole atheist Paul Loebe, the American Atheists' Military Director and Executive Director of Rock Beyond Belief.  Although a member of the Marine Corps, Paul is not speaking on behalf of the Dept. of Defense.  However, he will share with us his perspectives on religion imposed on military service members.
